City

The ancient forest
pushes into the city,
but the forest
is in the sea.

There are arrows in the air,
and warriors lost
in the branches
of coral.

Over the new houses
a grove of holm oaks is stirring
and the sky
has enormous crystal curves

Federico García Lorca
